The 600 was nothing like the all-star race. So you either loved it or hated it. As a spectator, and race fan, I really enjoyed the racing we saw at the All-Star race. And not so much the 600. But the drivers, after the race, said they liked the package they raced at the 600. But, whether you liked it or loved it, Ol Rowdy Busch dominated the entire damn race. Martin Truex Jr was quick to congratulate him on his stellar performance, but made it known that Kyle didn't lead as many laps as he did in the 2016 Coke 600. The best part of the race, for me, was watching Kyle Larson save the car when he started to lose the car in the middle of the turn.

Kyle Busch has now won a race at every track on the NASCAR circuit; and that is quite an accomplishment. Let's see if he'll dominate again this week at Pocono. Our standings have tightened up again, just in time for the home stretch!

The race at Kansas seemed pretty uneventful, until the end of the race. Stage 1 was owned by Blaney, and Stage 2 by Larson. At this point in the race, Larson seemed to have the car to beat. Then, Blaney and Larson get together and both wreck. Blaney was unable to continue, while Larson didn't have as much damage and managed to salvage a decent finish. After that, Byron got loose, while everyone was making a mad dash to the front after the restart, and spurred a crash that involved several cars.

After the red flag, the boys got going again and it looked like Truex was going to win the race. With 5 to go, Harvick kicked it in high gear to catch and pass Truex with just over a lap to go. And that's all she wrote boys. The 4 car locked up another one.

We'll get a weekend of fun for the All-Star race in Charlotte this weekend for the non-points race. Then, the week after the boys will be back on the track for some points-racing action!

The only thing that could have stopped Kevin Harvick on Sunday at Dover International Speedway was the rain, and even that failed.Eight laps after they restarted from a rain delay, Harvick passed Bowyer for the lead and pulled away to win his 4th race of the season.

Harvick led over half the race and swept all three stages. He is definitely putting his name in the hat for the most dominant car of the season, much like Truex was last year. Kyle Busch had a bad finish due to a broken drive shaft a little over half way through the race. Even though he finished 35th, he still managed to retain the points lead. So even though Harvick seems to be dominating right now, he still hasn't performed well enough to take the points lead.

Let's get ready for some Kansas City barbecue this week as the big guys are racing in Kansas on Saturday night. Will Harvick continue to dominate or will someone else step up and make something happen?
