Joey Logano was able to hold off the field to get his first win in 36 races yesterday. This win also extended Ford's winning streak at Talladega to six races, and they are currently running the oldest body style of any manufacturer. Chase Elliott was the highest finishing non-Ford car, and he finished 3rd by shooting the gap and making it three wide at the checkered. Kurt Busch seemed disappointed with his 2nd place finish, bc he said he got "out-foxed" and went with the wrong person at the wrong time.

Chase Elliott summed it up the best, saying that nobody seemed to want to race at the end. They all just sat in a single file line and didn't want to break out. Listening to the radios, everyone was holding out for 2 laps to go. Have they never seen a restrictor plate race, or any past Talladega races??!! Waiting til 2 to go is almost always too late if you are coming from further back than 3rd. They have short memories when it comes to past history I guess.

The boys will be hitting the concrete this weekend at the Monster Mile. I've always liked the racing at Dover, for some reason. It's interesting to see how some drivers just have a knack for driving on the concrete track. The standings have shook up quite a bit over the last couple of weeks, and things are spread out. It's going to take a combination of bad luck for some and good luck for others to tighten this thing up!

Mark another one down for the 18. Kyle Busch was able to pull away and beat Chase Elliott for his third win of the season. Busch started 32nd in this race, and flew through the field to the front. Elliott finished runner up yet again, for the 8th time in his career. He's doing good things, just has to put it all together for the win.

This week they'll be running in Talladega, where anything can happen! The race is up for grabs to anyone who takes the green flag. Which manufacturer will bring the power this weekend? Get ready for some white knuckle driving next weekend!

Bristol was a crazy weekend...in terms of weather. The racing wasn't too bad either. Rowdy gave the old bump and run to Kyle Larson with 5 to go to get his second straight victory. Larson led 200 laps but fell short, again. Kyle Busch was the pole winner, race winner, and majority pick this week. The last caution of the race was his saving grave b/c he thought he had a tire going down and it gave him the opportunity to pit. The short run also helped Busch, as Larson seemed to be better on the long runs. Busch extended his lead in the season standings after this one.

Does anyone have anything for Kyle Busch? We'll see how he fairs at Richmond!

Yesterday's race started out as a snoozefest. Luckily the race picked up and got a little more exciting. There were lots of tire issues and aerodynamic issues yesterday that caused several wrecks, taking out lots of good cars. The majority picks were Truex and Johnson, and both finished at the back of the field due to wrecks. A lot of people took hits in the pool this week, while the top few had solid finishes. The top guy is averaging less that a 3rd place finish for the year!

Ol' Rowdy finally got him a win, after finishing runner up several times this year already. It looks like a two man show right now in NASCAR between Harvick and Kyle Busch. We'll see how these to fair this week at Bristol baby!
