Martin Truex Jr was on a mission last week. He raced his butt off, winning all three stages and the race! He brought back a victory on a mile and a half track, which he hasn't been dominating on like he has in previous years. So, I think it was a statement rare for him.
Kurt Busch tried a different strategy, only stopping twice, to try and win the race. But, in the end he came up short because it didn't take long for Truex to muscle by him. Keselowski, the majority pick, rallied from two laps down to get back on the lead lap and finish third. Although a valiant effort, he came up short as well. One of the fastest cars on the track was the 42 of Kyle Larson, but it was a crazy night for him in which he finished 9th. He missed driver introductions and started from the rear. And on the last pit stop, he came out in the 20-something position due to taking a big swing at the handling and making a huge track-bar adjustment. It looked like that guy cranked the wrench 20 times between the left and right side. It gave him a fast car, but it was too little, too late to make a run at Truex.
On to New Hampshire this week for some action on a mile long speedway. Kat has started off strong, leading the standings, but there is an awful long way to go to wrap this half of the season up. Good luck everyone!
