Clint Bowyer and his team gambled on the last pitstop and took home the money and the trophy in the rain shortened race. His crew chief opted for two tires and it was enough to hold off the field, mainly Kevin Harvick, for the win. Harvick was about a foot away from clearing Bowyer coming out of turn two, and Bowyer took the high line momentum and rocketed past Harvick. Stenhouse spun a few laps later that probably saved Bowyer. That extra time under caution kept him in the lead and allowed the rain to come in and end the race.

Fords continued their dominance, claiming 7 out of the top 10 positions. The other manufacturers have their work cut out for them if they want to compete for the title. Kyle Larson wasn't able to cash in on his fourth straight win due to spinning early in the race and damaging his splitter.

If any of you did not see Clint Bowyer celebrate after the race, get on YouTube and find it. That man knows how to celebrate. I would love to be at one of their race win parties! But anyway, on to the road course this week. Let's see these guys work those pedals and wheels!

Also, our top guy is stretching out his lead again as we get close to the end of the first half of the season. We'll see if he can hold on to that this week.

Next Race: Sonoma on June 17, 2018
